Miss Universe 2025 Fatima Bosch Faces Criminal Complaint

Nawat Itsaragrisil Files Complaint Against Miss Universe 2025

FATIMA BOSCH – The Miss Universe 2025 is facing a criminal complaint filed by Nawat Itsaragrisil, Vice President for Asia and Oceania of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) and owner of the Miss Universe Thailand franchise.

The dispute stems from an incident during the 74th Miss Universe pageant on November 4, 2025, in Thailand. Videos circulated online show that the confrontation took place in a hotel ballroom before the sashing ceremony. Fatima reportedly refused to join a sponsor shoot but agreed to a Telemundo video shoot. The disagreement escalated after Nawat expressed frustration with Fatima’s national director, Raul Rocha of Miss Universe Mexico, prompting her to walk out of the venue with support from other contestants.

Fatima later told pageant fans that she felt insulted and disrespected, claiming Nawat called her “dumb” in front of other candidates. She emphasized that she loved Thailand and respected the people there but believed the director’s actions were unfair and needed to be made public.

Nawat and Miss Grand International Public Company Ltd. responded with an official statement, denying that he called Fatima “dumbhead” and clarifying that the word he used was “damage,” which can be heard in voice recordings. They accused Fatima of making false claims to the media, continuing to misrepresent the incident in interviews even after learning the facts, and using the situation for personal gain during the competition.

Nawat filed a criminal complaint in Thailand on November 12, 2025, and warned that any further defamatory statements could lead to additional legal action. He also advised media outlets to report the case carefully, noting that amplifying false allegations could result in legal consequences.

The case has drawn widespread attention because it involves a reigning Miss Universe and a high-ranking pageant official.
