Fatima Bosch’s Father Speaks Out on Issues Over Daughter’s Miss Universe Win

Father of Miss Universe 2025 Winner Speaks Out

BERNARDO BOSCH HERNANDEZ — The father of Miss Universe 2025 winner Fatima Bosch has spoken out to address the issues surrounding his daughter’s victory.

Bernardo, who holds a high position at Pemex, decided to release a statement after people online claimed that Fatima’s win was influenced by Raul Rocha, the Mexican president of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO). Others also spread rumors that Bernardo and Rocha were business partners, suggesting this may have affected the final results of the pageant held in Thailand on November 21, 2025.

On November 26, Bernardo shared his message on his private Instagram account. Although the public normally cannot view his posts, he accepted Cabinet Files’ follow request, allowing them to read and translate what he wrote. In his statement, he clearly denied all accusations linking him to his daughter’s win.

Bernardo explained that he does not have any business connection with Raul Rocha. He said he met Rocha for the first time only on September 13, 2025, during the Miss Universe Mexico event in Guadalajara. Because of this, he insisted that claims of favoritism or influence are completely untrue.

He also spoke about his long career. Bernardo said he has been in public service for 35 years, with more than 27 years spent at Pemex. He mentioned a case from 2019 in which he was penalized by a government office, but said that a court later canceled the penalty after ruling that it had no legal basis. He added that he has no record of punishment or disqualification in the official list of sanctioned public servants.

Bernardo further explained that his role at Pemex did not involve reviewing or awarding contracts. For this reason, he said it is impossible for him to favor any businessman, including Rocha.

As more false stories spread after Fatima’s coronation, Bernardo emphasized that none of the claims against him are supported by facts. He ended his statement by saying he remains committed to his family, his work, and the people of Mexico. He also urged the media to correct any reports that continue to spread false information about him or his family.
