Miss Universe 2025: Miss Jamaica Rushed to Hospital After Falling from Stage

Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry Falls During Miss Universe Prelims

Miss Jamaica Gabrielle Henry, representing her country in Miss Universe 2025, was rushed to a hospital in Bangkok after falling during the preliminary evening gown competition on November 19. The 28-year-old doctor lost her balance while walking in an orange gown and high heels and fell off the stage in front of the audience. She was carried out on a stretcher and taken for medical care.

The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization said she sustained only minor injuries and was under professional care. They confirmed she was not in life-threatening danger and asked fans to send her positive thoughts and prayers. Raúl Rocha Cantú, president of the Miss Universe Organization, visited her in the hospital and said she was stable, had no broken bones, and would remain under observation overnight.

The fall happened during the final preliminary round before the coronation night on November 21 at the Impact Muang Thong Thani Arena in Thailand. Henry had already participated in the swimsuit and national costume competitions. Another contestant, Miss Great Britain Danielle Latimer, also fell during the national costume round but remained cheerful.

Henry’s team thanked everyone for their support and concern after the accident. Videos on social media captured her fall and the quick response of pageant staff.

The Miss Universe pageant has faced several controversies in the weeks leading up to the event, including judge resignations and criticisms of how the competition was managed.

The coronation night is scheduled for November 21, 2025, at the Impact Muang Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
