Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Points Out Pres. Bongbong Marcos Signed National Budget w/ Insertions
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President spoke on Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. over the issue of corruption in the Philippines.
Countless Filipinos were left disappointed and enraged by the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption in the Philippines. Last September 21, thousands of Filipinos including several celebrities in the Philippine showbiz industry joined the “Trillion Peso March” that called for an end to corruption in the country.

Several senators and congressmen were tagged in the flood control mess. Both the Senate and the House of Representatives launched their own investigations on the issue. Marcos Jr. ordered the formation an independent team that will probe the flood control issue in the country — the Independent Commission for Infrastructure or ICI.

The ICI has the power to move for the freezing and seizure of the assets linked to anomalies. It can also issue a subpoena. However, it does not have contempt powers.
Amid the flood control mess in the country, Pres. Bongbong Marcos appointed former Department of Justice Secretary Boying Remulla for Ombudsman. Ombudsman Remulla promised that he will try to speed up the process with regards to the flood control scam.

However, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte criticized the supposed slow response of Pres. Bongbong Marcos on the corruption issues in the country. Based on a post of News5 on social media, the Vice President also aired her belief that Marcos Jr. allegedly cannot name those who are involved in the anomalies as it will implicate him in the issue,

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte stressed that Marcos Jr. signed the national budget. Based on the post, she pointed out that if the President read the 5,000-page national budget as what he allegedly claimed, he must have seen the budget insertions and he approved them.
“Palagay ko hindi rin niya masabi dahil aabot siya sa sarili niya, sa Office of the President, dahil pumirma po siya ng budget, eh. ‘Pag pumirma ka po ng budget at sinabi po niya binasa niya, page per page, 5000 pages ang budget. So ibig sabihin nakita mo ‘yung insertion pero wala kang ginawa,” she said.
Amid the corruption issue in the Philippines, Pres. Bongbong Marcos told the concerned agencies to ensure that the evidence against the people who are involved in the issue are enough. He also claimed that not even his cousin, former House Speaker Martin Romualdez, and his allies will be spared from the flood control probe.
