Japanese Content Creator Earns Praise for Donating Burgers to Cebu Earthquake Victims

A Japanese content creator earned praise online after donating hamburgers to the victims of the powerful earthquake in Cebu.

Recently, Takumi Senpai, a Facebook user, shared photos of the hamburgers he planned to donate to the earthquake victims in Cebu. His post quickly went viral and drew reactions from the online community.

The Japanese content creator warmed the hearts of many Filipinos by deciding to donate burgers to the affected residents. He personally bought and delivered 22 Yumburgers to the victims in Bogo City, one of the areas hardest hit by the quake.

According to him, he initially tried to coordinate with local fast-food branches to check if there were donation boxes for victims. Since none were available yet, he went directly to the Cebu Provincial Capitol where relief efforts were ongoing.

From there, he found a way to hand over the food to those in need, believing that this was the fastest and most practical way to help.

I donated 22 Yumburgers to the affected areas in Bogo. Since Jollibee did not have a dedicated donation box yet, I went to the Cebu Provincial Capitol to make the donation. I sincerely hope for a fast recovery,” Takumi said.

His genuine concern stands out despite the number of burgers he donated. His small act of generosity shows the kindness can go a long way.

The Japanese donor also encouraged others to join in helping Bogo City recover, reminding everyone that collective efforts can bring hope and comfort to families who lost so much in the disaster.

“I went to the Cebu Provincial Capitol and happened to find a donation area nearby, so I made my donation there. At Jollibee, I was told by the managers of two different branches that it will take some time before a dedicated donation box is provided. That’s why I believe the fastest way to send donations to Bogo is to go directly to the nearest government office. I truly hope this will help in the speedy recovery of Bogo City,” he added.
