The flood control mess in the Philippines hooked national attention and countless Filipinos call for accountability. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was initially the center of criticisms amid the multi-billion flood control mess.

However, as the investigation continues, more and more senators and members of the House of Representatives are linked to the issue. She was asked by the reporters if she thinks the government is still stable now amid the issue and she answered, “No”.
“Our institutions are clearly abused. They are used for personal gain…and we have already seen the testimony of witnesses about corruption and there is practically nothing happening in our country,” the Vice President said.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also claimed that she has allegedly warned the government officials for several times already to stop politicking and putting themselves first. She stressed that nothing is supposedly happening in the country.
“Nakailang ulit ko na ‘yan sinasabi noon na tigilan ‘yung pulitika, tigilan ang pag-una ng pansariling interest kasi walang nangyayari sa ating bansa. Meron ba kayong nakikita at all na project na nakatulong sa ating bayan? Wala,” Duterte said.
