Former ABS-CBN head writer Jerry Grácio has reacted to the Congress’ plan to formally investigate the Kapamilya Network’s land title in Quezon City.
Recently, the House Committee on Justice, as per House Resolution No. 1058 of SAGIP Party-list Representative Rodante Marcoleta, announced that the investigation of ABS-CBN land title will take place this coming September 23.
The pressing issue caused turmoil among employees and former workers of the giant network.
Earlier, former ABS-CBN head writer Jerry Grácio vent out his frustration about the Congress’ plan.
Here’s the statement of Jerry Grácio according to Kapamilya Online World:
“Ano na nangyari sa corruption sa Philhealth? Gaano na karami ang may COVID? Ilang milyong Filipino ang walang trabaho? Huwag n’yo kaming lansihin sa mga echos n’yo sa Kongreso. Magtrabaho kayo, mga animal!”
His statement gained reactions and comments from the netizens.
It can be recalled that last July 10, ABS-CBN finally bid farewell after the Congress rejected its bid for franchise renewal.
The denial of the ABS-CBN franchise resulted in mass retrenchment of its workers from more than 11,000 employees.
While some workers decided to shift their career path, there are some who chose to transfer network.
Among those who transferred to TV5 is veteran broadcaster Ted Failon, comedienne Pokwang, actress Ria Atayde, and Jessy Mendiola.
