A male passenger shared his frightening experience while onboard a flight that encountered heavy turbulence.
Recently, Jay Festin, a Facebook user, shared his terrifying experience during a flight that encountered heavy turbulence. His regular one-hour trip turned into one of the most nerve-wracking moments of his life. The post elicited comments from netizens.
Festin was on board Cebu Pacific Flight 5J111 when the plane suddenly experienced intense turbulence mid-air. He was relieved that everyone landed safely.
According to Jay, the turbulence lasted for over an hour and made the entire cabin feel like it was on a wild ride. He compared it to an extreme amusement park ride, but this time, thousands of feet above the ground with no way to stop or get off.
Jay described looking around and seeing fear on the faces of fellow passengers, some on the verge of tears, others holding tightly to their seats. During the rough flight, he silently prayed for safety and asked for protection as the aircraft shook violently.
Though the plane eventually landed safely, Jay admitted that the experience left a lasting impact on him. He said he could still feel the shaking in his body long after getting off the plane. For now, he’s decided to take a break from flying.
Despite the scare, he expressed deep gratitude to the pilot, flight attendants, and fellow passengers. Thanks to their calm and teamwork, what could have been a disaster ended with everyone safe and sound.
