Zac Alviz Says Sorry for Condo Post During Flooding
ZAC ALVIZ – The content creator faced backlash after posting on Facebook about how condo living felt like a smart investment amid the recent heavy rains and floods. He pointed out that while many people were dealing with flooding, leaky ceilings, and blown-off roofs, condo residents could simply close their windows and continue watching Netflix.
The post quickly went viral and was slammed by netizens for being insensitive, especially while many were struggling with the effects of the bad weather. Some accused him of showing off, while others felt he lacked empathy. Influencer Rendon Labador also called him out for the post.
In the comments, Alviz explained that he didn’t mean to insult people who couldn’t afford—or chose not—to invest in condos. He said he simply wanted to highlight how condos offer peace of mind and safety, not just financial value.

Later that day, he issued a public apology. Alviz admitted that his words were poorly timed and came off as insensitive. He shared that he grew up in Valenzuela and Malabon—places often hit by floods—and said he should have been more thoughtful.

He also opened up about a personal flaw: his tendency to focus on solutions more than people’s feelings. Even as a child, he said his first instinct was to ask how someone became homeless instead of offering help. He acknowledged that this mindset has sometimes made him seem unkind or out of touch.
Alviz sincerely apologized to anyone hurt by his post and said his true goal has always been to motivate others, not offend. He promised to learn from the experience and be more mindful moving forward. He also thanked those who called him out respectfully and expressed support for those affected by the recent calamities, saying he was truly sorry.
