Cherry White Apologizes for Reckless Driving

CHERRY WHITE – The controversial vlogger, whose real name is Cherrylyn Gonzaga, has issued a public apology after the Land Transportation Office (LTO) suspended her driver’s license for reckless driving. The suspension followed a viral video that showed her driving with her legs spread apart, revealing more than what was appropriate for public viewing.

In the video, Cherry can be seen driving with one leg raised—a position the LTO deemed unsafe and distracting, potentially endangering other motorists. LTO Acting Assistant Secretary Greg Pua stated that such behavior could easily lead to accidents.

In a Facebook post, Cherry apologized for her actions, writing: “Sorry na. mag eebike na lang ako nadali ako labas kasi bulbul ko e.”

She also claimed the viral video was recorded three months ago and was re-uploaded without her consent by a Facebook page. She expressed frustration and threatened legal action against the uploader for allegedly profiting from her image without permission: “Ito pala ang nagre-upload kaya na-ungkat yung video yari ka sakin pag dating ko ng LTO didiretcho ako NBI kumikita ka ng million dahil sa post ng pagmumuka ko.”

Despite her frustration, Cherry admitted her mistake and even joked about it: “OMG, suspended ako 3 months hahaha nag-prapractice daw ako mag-maneho kamote kasi ako e hahahaha.”

The LTO has issued a show cause order, requiring Cherry to appear at their Central Office in Quezon City on July 16 at 11 a.m. to explain why she should not be penalized under Section 27 of Republic Act 4136, which addresses reckless driving.
