Cherry White’s Driver’s License Suspended for 90 Days Over Reckless Driving

LTO Suspends Driver’s License of Cherry White

CHERRY WHITE – The vlogger had her driver’s license suspended for 90 days by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) after a viral video showed her driving irresponsibly. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) confirmed the suspension in a statement released on Saturday.

In the video, Cherry White was seen driving with one leg raised on the driver’s seat, appearing too relaxed and unfocused. According to the LTO, this behavior showed a lack of proper vehicle control and put other road users at risk. Her actions were considered careless and dangerous.

As a result, the LTO issued a show cause order asking Cherry White to explain why she should not be charged with reckless driving and why her license should not be permanently revoked. She is required to appear at the LTO office on Wednesday, July 16, at 11 a.m. for a hearing.

Her vehicle was also placed under alarm status, temporarily blocking all transactions involving it during the investigation.

Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon emphasized that the LTO and DOTr will not tolerate reckless behavior on the road. He stated that road safety is a priority, and all drivers—regardless of profession or popularity—must be held accountable. Dizon also echoed President Marcos’ consistent reminder that roads should be safe for all—motorists, commuters, and pedestrians alike.

He encouraged the public to continue reporting violations or unsafe driving behavior to the LTO or DOTr to help ensure road safety for everyone.

Meanwhile, businessman and content creator Josh Mojica is requesting a lighter penalty from the LTO after a viral video showed him taking a selfie while driving his Porsche along EDSA. He admitted to reckless and distracted driving and voluntarily surrendered his license.

His lawyer said Mojica is a first-time offender who meant no harm. The 90-day license suspension is temporary, and his vehicle is currently under restriction during the review. Mojica, who had bought the Porsche just five days earlier, expressed regret and hopes his mistake serves as a lesson on the importance of following road safety laws.
