Meiko Montefalco Seeks RTIA Help Over House She Built on Partner’s Family Land

Meiko Montefalco Wants a Refund for the House She Built

MEIKO MONTEFALCO – The content creator sought help from Raffy Tulfo in Action regarding a house she built on land owned by her partner’s family.

In her video, she showed the house she worked hard to build—only to reveal that she can no longer claim it as hers. Although Meiko spent her own money to construct the house, the land it was built on still belongs to her former partner’s parents. Because of this, she turned to Raffy Tulfo in Action (RTIA) for help, hoping to recover the amount she spent.

According to Meiko, she no longer wants to live in the house due to emotional strain and past issues. However, she still hopes to get back what she spent on its construction. Her story gained attention after she posted a heartfelt video with the caption, “Minsan kong pinangarap na mapuno ka ng maliligaya o masasakit mang ala ala ng aking pamilya… Mahal kita. Antayin mo ako ah?” When a follower asked what happened, Meiko explained, “The land belongs to his parents.. hindi natuloy transfer ng title sa amin.”

The situation became even more difficult when Meiko revealed that her ex-partner’s family continued the construction of the house—despite her being the one who had paid for it from the beginning. In her appearance on RTIA, she expressed her frustration and asked for legal guidance.

RTIA’s legal adviser, Atty. Gareth Tungul, explained that Meiko has a few possible options. First, she can try to negotiate with the family to reimburse her for the money she spent. Second, she may offer to buy the land. Lastly, if she still wants to stay in the house, she could pay rent—but this would require a formal agreement between both sides. The lawyer also emphasized the importance of open communication and written agreements.
