Ivana Alawi Clears Her Name with Lie Detector Test
IVANA ALAWI – The actress and content creator took a lie detector test to address recent controversies linking her to a legal dispute involving Congressman Albee Benitez.
In her vlog posted on June 23, Ivana willingly underwent the test, during which she was asked if she had ever broken up a family. She firmly answered “No,” and the lie detector confirmed she was telling the truth.
Ivana expressed her values, saying she was not raised to destroy families and emphasized her respect for family bonds—especially since she comes from a broken family herself. She explained that it would be wrong for her to cause the kind of pain she had personally experienced.
The issue arose from a sworn affidavit filed by Nikki, the estranged wife of Bacolod Lone District Representative Albee Benitez. In the complaint, Benitez was accused of violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (VAWC) due to alleged emotional and psychological abuse connected to an extra-marital affair with Ivana.
However, Benitez’s legal counsel, Atty. Peter Sanchez, stated that the complaint was filed only after the congressman began annulment proceedings in 2024.
