Former Classmate Recalls Past Altercation with Marian Rivera
PAST FIGHT – A woman claiming to be Marian Rivera’s former classmate has gone viral after sharing her personal experience with the actress during their high school years.
Identified only as Ivy, the content creator and event host recalled a physical altercation with the actress, which allegedly involved hair-pulling and being doused with soft drinks. The incident reportedly took place in 1998 during their time at SFACS Bayanan.
According to Ivy, a misunderstanding caused by a rumor led to the confrontation. As a result, both she and Marian were suspended from class and removed from the varsity team. Ivy said they were also assigned to clean the school canteen as part of their punishment. Despite the incident, she emphasized that she has already forgiven Marian and considers it a part of their teenage years.
The conflict reportedly resurfaced briefly during college when they crossed paths at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas. Ivy recalled a tense encounter in a building hallway but said that the situation eventually calmed down. Their last meeting, according to her, was during Marian’s early Marimar days, when Ivy was working behind the scenes at GMA’s SOP with bands 6Cycle Mind and Callalily.
Ivy emphasized that they are now on good terms and that she had no ill intentions in sharing her story. However, her post received mixed reactions online, with some netizens questioning her motives and the timing of her revelation. Others felt the issue should have been left in the past, while some came to Marian’s defense and shared positive personal experiences with the actress.
Ivy later apologized for any offense her post may have caused but stood by the truth of her story. She maintained that her goal was not to harm Marian’s reputation but simply to share a piece of their shared history.
As of now, Marian Rivera has not made any public comment on the matter.
