The person behind the post, claiming to be Luisa, showed pictures of the unit and its supposed location to convince the family.

Luisa asked them to send P6,000 as a down payment to reserve the unit. She said that once the payment was made, the unit would not be offered to anyone else. Wanting to secure a place quickly, the family sent the money through a bank transfer, thinking it was a safe and legitimate deal.

However, when the family went to visit the unit on the agreed date, the supposed landlord was nowhere to be found. They tried contacting her, but all communication stopped. That was when they realized they had been scammed.

Now, the family is calling on the public for help. They are asking anyone with information about the person behind the name “Luisa Tee Grano” to report it to the authorities. They hope that by doing so, they can take legal action and possibly recover the money they lost.

The incident reminds the public to be cautious when dealing with rental offers online, especially from strangers. Verifying the details and meeting in person before sending any payment is always a safer step.
