Is It Over Between Cristine Reyes and Marco Gumabao? Ara Mina Speaks Out
ARA MINA – The actress chose to stay quiet about the rumored breakup between her sister, Cristine Reyes, and actor Marco Gumabao. When asked about it during her interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda on June 2, 2025, Ara carefully said, “Kung ano ang alam ko, it stays with me, and I am not the right person [to say] kung ano ang real score.”
She neither confirmed nor denied the rumors but made it clear that Cristine is mature and capable of handling her own situation. Ara shared that, no matter what Cristine is going through, their family is always there for her. She even recalled a touching moment when Cristine texted her after the elections and invited her to dinner—something Ara appreciated, especially after losing her recent run for councilor in Pasig City.
Ara said that while Cristine opens up to her from time to time, she always reminds her sister that the final decision should come from her. “Pero ang sinasabi ko sa kanya, ‘Ikaw pa rin ang magde-decide kung ano ang nasa puso mo. Basta kung saan ka masaya, nakasuporta kami ng family,’” she said.
She also shared that Cristine has been spending more time with their family lately. Ara believes Marco played a big part in that, saying he made an effort to get close to their family, which helped Cristine reconnect with them as well. “I think malaking bagay, na-appreciate ko kay Marco, because Marco, naging malapit siya sa family namin,” Ara said.
Although Ara didn’t directly confirm whether Cristine and Marco have broken up, her careful words suggest that something may have changed in their relationship. Still, she chose to focus on supporting her sister rather than giving a clear answer.
