Pambansang Yobab Euleen Castro Criticizes Iloilo Café; Coffeebreak Responds

Iloilo Coffee Shop Responds to Negative Review from Pambansang Yobab Euleen Castro

EULEEN CASTRO – The popular content creator, also known online as “Pambansang Yobab,” recently faced backlash after posting a strongly worded food review of Coffeebreak, a well-known coffee shop chain in Iloilo.

In her TikTok video, which has since garnered over 123,000 views, Euleen expressed disappointment in the café’s food and beverages, claiming that none of the items they ordered tasted good. She even described the lasagna as bland and used profane language to emphasize her frustration.

“Nag-try kami dito sa Coffeebreak. Andami. Out of all of you, all of you [mga inorder na food] walang masarap. Even the drinks. Even the lasagna. Lahat tab-ang… Ang dami n’yo diyan, walang masarap sa inyo? Ni isa? Puta” she said.

Coffeebreak Café International Inc. responded with an official statement, saying that while they welcome constructive criticism to help them improve, they were concerned about the explicit language used in the review. They stressed that while everyone is entitled to their opinions, feedback should be shared respectfully.

“However, we were taken aback by the strong and explicit language used in your review. While we understand that not everyone will share the same taste, we believe that constructive criticism can always be communicated respectfully,” the café stated.

The management added that Coffeebreak has been serving coffee lovers for over 20 years and that this was the first time they received a review they considered insulting. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuously improving and ensuring each customer has a pleasant experience, guided by sincerity and respect.

As of now, Euleen has not issued a response, nor has she taken down the video from her TikTok account. With over 3.4 million TikTok followers and 520,000 YouTube subscribers, she is widely known for her humorous content and food reviews. She also holds a degree in Culinary Arts from Enderun Colleges, which she completed in 2019.
