Julian Estrada Breaks Silence After Being Assaulted in Boracay

Julian Estrada Denies Starting the Boracay Incident

JULIAN ESTRADA – The son of Senator Jinggoy Estrada and Precy Vitug-Ejercito has spoken out following an incident where he and his cousin, Jefferly “Jelo” Vitug, were assaulted in Boracay on May 24. T

he incident, which left Julian with injuries to his head and face, drew widespread attention and criticism online. Some netizens even went so far as to say he “deserved” what happened—something Julian firmly denies.

In a Facebook post on May 26, Julian clarified what really took place. He said there was no fight, only a sudden and unprovoked attack. According to him, he and Jelo were walking home peacefully at around 2 a.m. after a night out when a group of men followed them. One man reportedly approached, said a few words, and then punched him. What followed, Julian said, was a group assault—not a simple scuffle.

Julian expressed disappointment over the public’s quick judgment, calling out those who spread false stories online. “It’s easier to hate than to ask what really happened so before you speak on someone else’s pain, make sure you know the truth because what you say says more about you than it ever will about me,” he wrote. He thanked those who showed genuine concern and said he is now focusing on rest and recovery.

His mother, Precy Vitug-Ejercito, also shared her thoughts in a Facebook post. She confirmed that her son and nephew were attacked by three men—allegedly connected to public figures—and emphasized that they were not looking for trouble. She described Julian and Jelo as kind and respectful and said it was heartbreaking to see them hurt. She assured the public that legal complaints have been filed and called on authorities to ensure justice.

The Estrada family has expressed their trust in due process and hopes the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety and accountability.
