“Things Are Working Out”: Nadia Montenegro on Baron Geisler ’s Renewed Bond W/ Sophia
BARON GEISLER – Actress Nadia Montenegro confirmed that her daughter Sophia and Baron Geisler are on better terms now, calling their reconnection a positive development.
Nadia Montenegro recently shared a positive update about the relationship between actor Baron Geisler and their daughter, Sophia, revealing that “things are working out” between the two.
In a candid conversation for a vlog interview with broadcaster Karen Davila on May 22, Nadia and her sister Tania opened up about past relationships and family matters. When asked about Geisler, Nadia admitted she has no regrets about being with him but expressed remorse over the circumstances of their relationship.
“I never regretted being with Baron, but I regretted the situation he was in at the time,” she said. “How I wish that he was sober. Maybe we could have handled things differently.”
Despite their troubled past, Nadia shared that the recent months have been encouraging. “We’ve both talked about this and actually, the last few months have been very good for us,” she revealed. “Sophia is with him and has been with him since February.”
The actress added that Baron and Sophia are now focused on preparing for her upcoming college journey. “Things are working out naman,” she said, suggesting a renewed bond between the father and daughter.
Tania Montenegro also spoke up during the interview, revealing she was initially opposed to her sister’s relationship with Baron. “She knows how much I hated Baron,” Tania confessed. “I was very angry not at her, but at Baron and the situation they had at the time.”
Tania admitted her anger stemmed from seeing Nadia in distress during that period. However, she eventually gave Baron a chance when he reached out to her. “I just told him to please be good and to fix himself,” she said.
In June last year, Nadia publicly confirmed that her late husband Macario “Boy” Asistio Jr. was not Sophia’s biological father, later revealing Baron as Sophia’s dad.
While their journey has been far from easy, recent developments suggest a path of healing and reconciliation for the family.
