Last Saturday, the Commission on Elections proclaimed the 12 winning senators in the 2025 Elections. Sen. Marcos landed on the 12th spot with the fervent campaigning of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Before the Election Day, she was adopted as a guest candidate of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s PDP-Laban.

After leaving the Alyansa, Sen. Imee Marcos claimed she will just join her friends who are candidates in the local election in their campaign sorties. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorsed Sen. Marcos through the viral “ITIM” campaign ad. The Vice President also campaigned for her in the different local campaign sorties she joined.

Last Saturday, Sen. Imee Marcos was the first among the winning senators to be proclaimed on stage. After being proclaimed, the senator-winners deliver their Proclamation Speech. In her speech, Sen. Marcos made no mention of her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos. She acknowledged former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

“Kay Presidente Duterte, ang ating dating Pangulo na Oktubre pa lamang itinaas na ang aking kamay, at sa kanyang anak na hanggang sa huling sandali si VP Inday Sara ay ako’y kinakampanya,” she said.

According to Senator Imee, her victory in the 2025 Elections is a proof that one who stands for what is right will win. She was accompanied by her 96-year-old mother, former First Lady Imelda Marcos, and her sons and in-laws at the Proclamation Ceremony.

“Ang tagumpay na ito, kahit gaano kailap at kahirap ay isang katibayan na kapag ikaw ay nanindigan para sa tama, mananalo ka,” the re-elected Senator said.

Previously, before leaving the senatorial slate of the grand alliance, Pres. Bongbong Marcos made no mention of his sister, Sen. Imee Marcos, at the Alyansa campaign rally in Cavite. It was unclear if the President intentionally made it or not.
