A 24-year-old employee suddenly collapsed and started shaking at work after experiencing extreme stress, believed to be caused by pressure from her job and issues in a long-distance relationship.
The woman, identified as Maria Vanessa Masong, was working as usual when she began to feel unwell. She suddenly had trouble breathing, her fingers stiffened, and she started to shake uncontrollably. Her coworkers were shocked by the sudden incident.
“Parang hindi ko po siya nakaya sa sobrang bigat na nagsabay-sabay lahat. Parang andito po sa balikat ko lahat na hindi ako makahinga tapos nanigas na po ‘yung daliri ko. Hindi ko na po kontrolado. Nakakaiyak ‘yung wala kang magawa,” Vanessa said.
According to people close to her, Vanessa had been under a lot of pressure lately. She was known for being hardworking and dedicated to her job, often pushing herself beyond her limits. On top of work-related stress, she was also dealing with emotional strain due to her long-distance relationship.
The combination of exhaustion, emotional tension, and pressure finally took a toll on her. Masong later shared that everything felt too heavy, like a weight on her shoulders that made it hard to breathe.
The female employee lost control of her body as her stress turned into a full-blown anxiety episode.
Fortunately, she managed to call a friend at work before things got worse. Her friend quickly came to her aid, and she was given immediate help.
Some health professionals believe that Vanessa may have experienced a panic attack, a condition often triggered by intense stress or anxiety. They advised her to seek a medical consultation to better understand her condition and get proper care.
