Official Statement from GMA Sparkle Regarding the Kyline Alcantara Controversy
KYLINE ALCANTARA ISSUE – Sparkle GMA Artist Center has released an official statement regarding the controversy involving their talent, following her breakup with basketball player Kobe Paras.
According to the statement, Kyline wishes to move forward and has chosen to remain silent out of respect for those who have been part of her life. Sparkle emphasized her hope that the public can also move on from the issue.
The controversy began when Kobe’s mother, Jackie Forster, posted a nearly 15-minute video on April 27, alleging that Kyline was controlling, toxic, and physically aggressive during her relationship with Kobe. Jackie claimed that Kyline repeatedly checked Kobe’s phone without his permission and accused her of hurting him during an argument. She said Kobe chose to end the relationship peacefully and without retaliation.

Jackie also accused Kyline of allowing the public to blame Kobe for the breakup. She questioned Kyline’s sincerity as a mental health advocate, claiming her actions worsened Kobe’s mental health. Jackie added that they have evidence to support their claims and are ready to present it if necessary. She also denied rumors that Kobe cheated and said Kyline’s side had asked Kobe’s father to pretend the couple was still together for endorsement-related reasons. According to Jackie, things worsened after their U.S. trip in January, and something “unforgivable” eventually led Kobe to walk away.

In response, Zamantha Rose, the girlfriend of Kyline’s brother Robin, defended Kyline via Instagram. She shared that she had lived with the couple and personally saw Kyline as caring and supportive—not abusive or manipulative. She said many of Jackie’s claims were misleading and unfair, especially involving past family issues in public discourse. Zamantha clarified that social media posts from Kyline’s parents were misinterpreted and not directed at Kobe. She also emphasized that conflicts like this should be resolved privately, not publicly, and reminded the public not to judge based on only one side of the story.
