Duterte’s Partner Honeylet Avanceña Asked about his Reaction to VP Sara Endorsing Sen. Imee Marcos
Honeylet Avanceña confirmed that former Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is aware that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorsed Senator Imee Marcos.
Undeniably, while Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorsing Sen. Imee Marcos is not a surprise to many people, the way the Vice President campaign for the Senator hooked a lot of attention. Both politicians wore black in the viral ‘ITIM’ campaign ad.
In the said viral campaign ad, Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that black is allegedly the color of the country now. Sen. Marcos also claimed that the people are not only hungry for food but as well as justice. It drew different reactions from the netizens on social media.
According to Malacañang, the Philippines is not very white now but it is on its way. Palace Press Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro claimed that when she first saw the campaign ad, she thought that it was a campaign ad for the 2022 Elections. She stressed that it allegedly refers to the previous administration which was “intensely black”.
Amid the political turmoil in the Philippine government due to the unexpected arrest of former Pres. Duterte, Sen. Imee Marcos led the Senate investigation on the arrest of the former President. However, she denied that the endorsement is a reward for the probe.
Previously, Honeylet Avanceña claimed that she is not convinced by Sen. Imee Marcos. According to her, the Senate probe is allegedly just a mere gimmick. Recently, the longtime partner of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte confirmed that the former President already knew that Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorsed Sen. Marcos.
Based on a video posted on Facebook, Honeylet Avanceña claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is aware of the campaign ad but he refused to say something about it. It is no secret to the public that he and Sen. Imee Marcos are friends.
“Wala siya nag comment. Aware siya. Wala siya nag comment,” Duterte’s long-time partner said.
Based on the post, when asked about her comment on Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorsing Sen. Imee Marcos, the common-law wife of former Pres. Duterte refused to speak her side. According to her, she will just hide her side and no one will know about it.
Previously, Honeylet relayed the message of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to Filipinos regarding the PDP Laban. The former President is the chairman of the political party.
