Rita Daniela Calls for Archie Alemania’s Immediate Arrest
RITA DANIELA – The Kapuso actress is seeking the immediate arrest of actor and comedian Archie Alemania following the issuance of a warrant for his arrest due to charges of acts of lasciviousness filed against him by Rita.
The Bacoor City Municipal Trial Court Branch 2 issued the warrant on March 18, 2025, after determining there was sufficient cause to proceed with the trial. The court order stated, “Considering that the accused is at large, let a warrant of arrest be issued against him.”
Rita’s legal counsel, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, noted that Archie’s sworn statement simply affirmed the allegations against him. In an interview on April 2, Atty. Garduque expressed hope that Archie would be apprehended promptly so the legal proceedings could begin. “We hope for the immediate apprehension of the accused so the court can already acquire jurisdiction over his person and for the hearings to be started as soon as possible,” Atty. Garduque stated. Rita’s primary goal, as emphasized by her lawyer, is to achieve the justice she deserves.
If arrested, Archie may post a bail of P36,000. At the time of writing, Archie has not issued any public statement regarding the matter.
The incident that led to Rita’s case against Archie occurred on September 9, 2024, at Bea Alonzo’s thanksgiving party for the cast of “Widows’ War.” Rita claims that Archie, who was intoxicated, made inappropriate remarks toward her. As she was about to leave the event around 2:30 AM, Archie offered her a ride home. Rita initially declined, as she had already booked a Grab ride, but ultimately agreed when Archie insisted. During the ride, Archie allegedly touched her neck and shoulders, and upon reaching her residence, he asked for a kiss. Despite Rita’s refusal, Archie allegedly forced a kiss on her. Fearing she was being sexually violated, Rita managed to escape the vehicle.
The following day, Archie reportedly sent Rita an apology via text, attributing his behavior to his intoxication. In December 2024, Archie submitted a counter-affidavit denying the allegations of harassment and misconduct.
