Buboy Villar Responds to Angillyn Gorens’ Claims
BUBOY VILLAR – The actor-television host has denied allegations of physical abuse made by his former partner, Angillyn Gorens.
In an exclusive interview with Nelson Canlas for 24 Oras on March 27, 2025, Buboy expressed his surprise over Angillyn’s claims that he physically hurt, choked, and verbally abused her during their relationship. Buboy firmly denied the accusations, stating, “Dumaan sa buhay ko po na yung tatay ko din ay nananakit sa aking nanay. Alam ko po na mali na manakit ng babae. Mahal na mahal ko yung nanay ko kaya kahit kailan hindi ko maisipan na saktan siya [Angillyn]. Malabo po yun.”
He also addressed Angillyn’s statement regarding his financial support for their two children, clarifying that the matter had been legally discussed and agreed upon through the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) program. According to Buboy, he had meetings with Angillyn’s parents where they reached an understanding regarding what he could provide as a father. He expressed sadness over the issue being brought up again, saying, “Kaya yung mga ganitong pangyayari, alam mo yun, kung isipin kong mabuti po, nakakalungkot. Nakakalungkot.”
Despite the accusations, Buboy maintained that he would continue to respect Angillyn and would not retaliate. “Hindi ako parang manira ng tao. Kasi yan po yung pinakaayaw ko. Yung may sasabihin ako sa isang tao na hindi naman po totoo. Kaya yung mga ganong bagay po, pinagdadasal ko na lang po talaga,” he said. He also emphasized that such personal matters should be discussed in the right venue rather than on social media.
To recall, it was on March 26 that Angillyn took to Facebook to reveal more allegations, claiming that Buboy physically abused her, frequently drank alcohol, and verbally mistreated her in front of their child. She accused him of reckless behavior, including crashing their car during an argument. Angillyn also stated that she endured the abuse for the sake of their children but ultimately left to protect herself.
