Dog Fails to Receive Timely Treatment After Rider is Stopped Near Vet Clinic
A motorcycle rider is deeply saddened by the passing of his beloved dog after being unable to reach a veterinary clinic in time for treatment.
According to a post by Animal and Nature Advocates, the rider was on his way to the clinic for urgent medical care when he was stopped by police just a short distance from the facility. Despite explaining the situation, he was not allowed to proceed, leading to a delay in the dog’s treatment.
Overcome with emotion, the rider held his pet and expressed his sorrow, saying, “Sinubukan ko, pero hindi kita nailigtas… magpahinga ka na, champ.” Reports later confirmed that the dog had been suffering from severe gastroenteritis, which required immediate medical attention. Unfortunately, the delay prevented the pet from receiving the necessary care in time.

The incident has led to discussions online, with many people expressing concern over the need for more understanding and flexibility from authorities in emergencies involving pets. Some have suggested reviewing policies to ensure that pet owners facing urgent situations receive the assistance they need.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, an Aspin named Tiger passed away after an unfortunate event at a public market in Barangay Baraca-Camachile, Subic, Zambales.

According to a report by Atom Araullo on GMA 7’s State of the Nation, a video uploader shared that the dog approached them after sustaining an injury. The incident reportedly occurred when the dog took food from a vendor’s stall, leading to a confrontation. A female vendor allegedly reacted by injuring the dog. Witnesses recalled the distressing scene, and although some attempted to help, the dog did not survive. These events have sparked conversations on social media, with many advocating for greater compassion and awareness when dealing with animals in distress.
