Mom Earns Online Admiration After Sharing Inspiring Story
A passionate mom has shared an inspiring story online after overcoming numerous struggles and hardships in life.
Recently, Bettina De Leon, a Facebook user, shared her journey from financial difficulties to achieving success with her home-based business. The post quickly went viral, earning praise and admiration from netizens.
Bettina recalled how every year, her husband often had little to no work, which made things even more challenging for their growing family. At one point, both of them were jobless, and she found herself worrying constantly about where to get money for daily expenses while raising their children.
Determined to change their situation, she looked for work while still breastfeeding her youngest child in 2015. She started with event jobs despite the small pay, then took a makeup course with borrowed money from her father.
Soon after, she discovered digital business opportunities that were just beginning to emerge at the time. By 2016, she transitioned from being an employee to working from home.
At first, she could not believe that it was possible. She was always taught that studying hard and getting a job after graduation was the only way. However, she realized that in the Philippines, a regular salary was often not enough to sustain a family.
Through her journey, she learned about the gig economy, content creation, and content marketing.
From being a stressed-out mother, she started seeing her true potential. In 2018, she was able to renovate their garage using her income from home. In 2019, she bought her first brand-new car and continued improving their house, finally affording even the little things she used to overlook, like matching glasses and plates.
Her biggest dream was not just to provide food for her family but to secure her children’s education, have savings, insurance, and an emergency fund. She started this journey at 30 years old and, now at 39, she remains hopeful.
