Pres. Bongbong Marcos Speaks on Fake News & Disinformation: “Dapat extra ingat…”
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President warned the voters ahead of the 2025 Elections to be careful on the spread of fake news now that it is election campaign season.
The candidates for the 2025 Elections are now busy campaigning for the upcoming poll. Several political parties have also finalized their list of bets in the upcoming election. The Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago, a political alliance of several known political parties in the Philippines, is endorsing 12 senatorial candidates.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos leads the endorsement of the senatorial bets of the Alyansa. Marcos previously advised the voters not to listen to “all talk” people. He stressed that the senatorial candidates that their alliance support all have experience in public service and know the job.

Despite the withdrawal of presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos from Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ list of senatorial bets, the Chief Executive continues to endorse the Senator who is seeking re-election. Here are teh senatorial bets of the alliance:

- Sen. Francis Tolentino

- Deputy Speaker Camille Villar
- former Social Welfare and Development Secretary Erwin Tulfo

Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos also warned the voters against fake news and the spread of disinformation. On his latest vlog, the Chief Executive told the public to be careful as fake news is usually rampant during the election campaign period.
“Dapat extra ingat tayo sa mga nababasa natin online. Kakambal ng kampaniya ay mga intriga at batuhang putik na tinatawag na fake news. Dapat maingat tayong mga mamamayan,” he said.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos also took a swipe at the “keyboard warriors”. According to the Chief Executive, what makes him happy is that he can really see the people who support the alliance at the campaign rallies. He stressed that the supporters of the alliance are real people and real Filipinos not keyboard warriors.
Marcos Jr. further stressed that another thing that cannot be faked are the testimonies of the Filipinos regarding the projects and programs of the government. Previously, Malacañang cited the dictatorship remarks of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte as “another budol” and tagged him as a “one-man fake-news factory”.
