Confrontation at Campsite Leads to Arrest After Staff Punches Guest
PUNCHING INCIDENT – A guest at Rainbow 89 Ecopark Camping & Trekking in Rizal was punched in the face by a male employee after a heated confrontation. The guest, Dawn Cuenzo, had been dealing with heartbreak and stress, which led him to seek solace at the campsite. He hoped the peaceful environment would help him release his frustrations.
However, things took a turn when one of the employees overheard him cursing and confronted him, asking him to leave. Dawn explained that he was not directing the curses at anyone, but at the mountain itself. Despite this, the employee suddenly struck him in the face, escalating the situation.
In the heat of the moment, Dawn retaliated by punching the employee back, but his attempt was blocked. The incident occurred around 6 AM, while other guests and nearby residents were still asleep. The staff member involved was later arrested for slight physical injury after the authorities intervened.
