Ashley Ortega Confirms She’s Dating Mavy Legaspi
ASHLEY ORTEGA – The actress has officially confirmed her romantic relationship with fellow Kapuso star Mavy Legaspi.
In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on February 10, 2025, Ashley openly admitted to the long-rumored relationship. When asked directly if she and Mavy were a couple, Ashley initially appeared shy but eventually answered, “I think it’s obvious naman na… yes [kami na]!”
Ashley shared that she and Mavy have known each other for years through mutual friends. However, they only started going out alone last year, after both had ended their previous relationships—Ashley with politician Mark Alcala and Mavy with actress Kyline Alcantara. Their bond deepened over time, beginning with casual hangouts with friends before Mavy eventually asked her out for lunch and dinner dates.
Ashley revealed that Mavy won her over with his thoughtfulness and generosity. “Hindi naman kasi ako magrandeng tao na kailangan ng flowers or surprises or whatsoever. Ano lang talaga, more on conversational lang talaga ako,” she explained.
She also admitted she initially thought Mavy’s maturity wouldn’t match hers since he’s three years younger. However, she soon realized he was actually very mature, even describing herself as “the baby in the relationship” because of how well Mavy takes care of her.
Ashley praised Mavy’s upbringing, saying he is well-mannered, which she personally witnessed when his family welcomed her warmly. She has previously worked with Mavy’s mother, Carmina Villarroel, and father, Zoren Legaspi, but felt an even deeper connection when she was invited to their Christmas dinner last December.
Speculation about their relationship started in January 2025 when a viral video showed them holding hands while entering a restaurant in Cebu during the Sinulog Festival. Further fueling rumors, Mavy posted a photo with Ashley on Instagram, captioning it with his gratitude for the festival experience.
