Yexel Sebastian Stands His Ground Amid Accusations
YEXEL SEBASTIAN – The infamous social media personality broke his silence to address ongoing controversies surrounding him. In an update directed at both his supporters and critics, he clarified that since leaving the Philippines on October 9, 2023, he has had no pending case, no hold departure order, no warrant of arrest, and is not considered a fugitive.
According to Yexel, certain media outlets, opinionated broadcasters, social media influencers, and vloggers have exaggerated the issue, using it as content to attract attention. He criticized mainstream media for spreading misinformation and reminded the public to be cautious about believing everything they hear or see online without verifying the facts.
Yexel acknowledged that a case was filed against him and is currently under review by the Department of Justice. However, there has been no official decision on whether the case will proceed to court or be dismissed. Despite this, he expressed frustration over how the public has already judged him guilty without due process. He lamented that many people are quick to condemn based on speculation rather than legal evidence.
In his statement, Yexel pointed out that Hector Pantollana, the owner of Casino Junket, was arrested in Indonesia in November 2024 and is now detained in the Philippines. He stressed that this information had already been shared but was ignored by those who preferred to believe rumors. He also noted that other public figures, such as Neri Naig, Ken Chan, and Ruffa Mae, have faced similar accusations despite having no fraudulent intent.
Yexel emphasized that he never built his name to take advantage of others. As a former overseas worker, he understands the struggles of earning a living. While he remains committed to helping those affected, he refuses to take responsibility for debts he did not incur. For now, he chooses to stay silent, placing his trust in God and believing that better days are ahead.
