Rosmar Tan on Viral Security Guard: “Pwede ka rin mag-work sakin”
ROSMAR TAN – The social media influencer took to Facebook to express her willingness to help the security guard involved in the viral video with the Sampaguita vendor.
Previously, Rosmar Tan shared that she had reached out to Jenny, the Sampaguita vendor in the viral video, to offer her assistance. Rosmar expressed gratitude for speaking with Jenny and encouraged others to offer their support as well. She emphasized that hardworking individuals like Jenny, who aspires to become a MedTech professional, deserve fair treatment. While Rosmar acknowledged that street vending was against the rules, she also pointed out that the security guard’s aggressive actions were unjustified.
Rosmar further revealed that Jenny, a first-year MedTech student, only has one uniform and uses her senior high uniform while the other is being washed. After a video call with Jenny, Rosmar confirmed her dedication to her studies. Jenny felt embarrassed due to being mistakenly identified online, but Rosmar reassured her that she would help clear her name.
To support Jenny financially, Rosmar gave her ₱10,000 so she would no longer need to sell Sampaguita. She suggested that Jenny consider selling grilled food or Rosmar Skincare products near her home instead. Rosmar encouraged Jenny to stay focused on her education, promising her a brighter future through her academic journey.
In addition to helping the vendor, Rosmar expressed her willingness to assist the security guard. She inquired about his contact details, noting that he had been dismissed from his position. Rosmar emphasized her desire to help him, recognizing that he was only doing his job. She even offered him a position as a security guard in her company, acknowledging that while his actions were excessive, everyone makes mistakes and should not be judged harshly or immediately.

Napasobra nga lang ang ginawa mo kuya pero lahat ng tao nag kakamali at di dapat agad husgahan,” she wrote.
