Mother of Barbie Forteza Speaks on Cryptic Post Amid Breakup with Jak Roberto
BARBIE FORTEZA – The mother of the Kapuso star addressed the rumors surrounding cryptic posts shared by her and Barbie’s sister, Gabrielle Vierneza. Some netizens speculated that the posts were related to Barbie’s supposed breakup with her boyfriend, Jak Roberto. The posts sparked discussions, with people assuming they were about Barbie’s ex.
In response to these speculations, her mother explained through a Viber message to Abante that they no longer pay attention to such rumors, acknowledging that reactions from the public are inevitable. She clarified that their posts were not intended to target Jak, emphasizing that they expected both positive and negative responses.
Her mother expressed how proud they are of Barbie for her strength and resilience, pointing out that this was the message they wanted to convey through their posts. Despite the ongoing speculations, she refrained from making any negative remarks about Jak and did not comment on the status of Barbie and Jak’s relationship.
“Hindi na lang po namin pinapansin ang mga ganyan. Expected na po namin ‘yan. May mga matutuwa, may mga malulungkot. Hindi po namin pinaringgan si Jak,” she said. “Proud na proud po kami kay Barbie. Sa pagiging strong niya sa lahat ng bagay. Iyon lang po ang ibig naming sabihin (sa post namin),” she added.
Meanwhile, Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto ended their seven-year relationship earlier this year, which began in 2017 when they met on the set of Meant to Be. Although their on-screen characters didn’t end up together, their real-life romance flourished, and they became one of Kapuso’s most beloved couples. Despite not working together recently, they continued to support each other’s careers and share milestones.
In December 2024, Barbie celebrated Jak’s birthday with a heartfelt message, but their relationship faced challenges due to their busy schedules. On January 2, 2025, Barbie announced their breakup on Instagram, describing it as a “beautiful goodbye” and expressing gratitude for their love. She emphasized that sometimes things must end for better things to come, with the couple parting amicably.
