“It’s Showtime” to Continue Airing on GMA in 2025
IT’S SHOWTIME – GMA has officially confirmed that the beloved noontime show will continue to air on the Kapuso network in 2025, much to the relief of its dedicated fans.
This announcement was made on December 20, 2024, after rumors circulated earlier in the week suggesting that the show might be leaving the network. “It’s Showtime” began airing on GMA earlier this year and has partnered with GTV since July 2023. It looks like this successful collaboration will continue into 2025.
Earlier, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, a key figure at GMA, addressed concerns about the renewal process. She clarified that any delays in finalizing the contract were due to waiting for necessary data, not any issues with the show’s performance. Atty. Gozon-Valdes also firmly denied rumors that “It’s Showtime” had any debts to GMA, reassuring everyone that the show’s ratings were solid. She emphasized that the talks were purely about new terms and that there were no major obstacles.
Meanwhile, Vice Ganda, one of the show’s hosts, expressed heartfelt gratitude toward GMA for the partnership and playfully debunked the rumors on air. He joked about the show’s “ascension” and how the “budget” had improved but also took a moment to show affection for Atty. Gozon-Valdes, praising her leadership and support for the show.
Before landing on GMA, “It’s Showtime” had a successful run on TV5 in 2022. Since transitioning to GMA in 2023, the show has maintained its spot as one of the top-rated noontime variety programs. The confirmation that the show will continue in 2025 brings great joy to fans, ensuring that the fun, entertainment, and laughter will keep coming for both Kapuso and Kapamilya audiences in the new year.
