Determined to make a difference, she announced a meeting with Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara this Thursday to discuss practical ways to combat bullying in schools.

Previously, Yasmien Kurdi opened up on social media about her daughter Ayesha’s painful experience with bullying at school. She shared that Ayesha, now 12, was picked on by classmates after missing important school updates while they were traveling abroad. Things escalated when several students reportedly blocked her from leaving the classroom and even denied her food.
Yasmien revealed that this wasn’t the first time Ayesha had faced bullying—she has been dealing with it since grade 2, with even an online “Ayesha Hate Club” targeting her. What made things worse was that some parents of the bullies allegedly defended their children and twisted the story.
Despite the heartbreaking situation, Yasmien assured her daughter that she would always be there to protect her. Friends and supporters have since rallied around them, offering love and encouragement.
Meanwhile, Yasmien Kurdi is an actress, singer, and model, best known for her rise to fame as the first runner-up in the inaugural season of GMA Network’s talent search StarStruck.
