GIGIL KID – The child star whose real name is Carlo Mendoza called for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to step down from office. Speaking at a rally held at the EDSA Shrine, Carlo shared his disappointment with the government’s efforts to address illegal substances and enforce law and order in the country.

Carlo recounted a deeply personal and painful experience, revealing how his family was affected by his father’s substance abuse. He explained that his father’s addiction led to a traumatic incident involving his sister. “Dahil sa dr*ga na pinapalaganap mo, ginah-sa ang ate ko nang dahil sa bisyo,” said Carlo. “Yun ang dahilan bakit nagawa ng tatay ko ang nagawa niya sa ate ko,” Carlo said, as he criticized the government’s failure to control the problem.

In his speech, Carlo directly urged President Marcos to resign, citing poor leadership and governance. “Nananawagan ako sayo sa republika ng Pilipinas, sa Malacanang, na uulitin ko, mag-resign ka na,” he declared, earning applause from the audience.
