Pres. Bongbong Marcos Gives Message To Military after Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s Call
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President gave a message to the military advising them to stay focused and not to be distracted by the political noise.
The feud between the Marcoses and the Dutertes surprise a lot of people most especially the BBM-Sara supporters. Undeniably, this is something that many people don’t see coming as Pres. Marcos and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte made a victorious tandem in the 2022 Elections.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte continuously throw tirades against Pres. Marcos. The National Bureau of Investigation or NBI has even issued a subpoena for her remarks that seemingly posted a threat on Marcos Jr.’s life. A member of the House also confirmed that an impeachment plan against the Vice President is currently on the works.
Despite the multiple issues and accusations surrounding Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and her office now, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is confident that VP Sara can handle things and won’t be jailed even if charges will be filed against her.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte also took swipe at Pres. Bongbong Marcos saying that no one can allegedly correct him as well as House Speaker Martin Romualdez. He called on the military to protect the Constitution. He also challenged the loyalty of the military to the President accusing Marcos of drug use.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) said it will investigate the statement of former Pres. Duterte against Pres. Marcos. He has repeatedly linked the Chief Executive to drugs.
Recently, during his visit to the Southern Luzon Command’s (Solcom) Camp General Guillermo Nakar in Lucena City, Pres. Bongbong Marcos gave his message to the military. Based on a report on Inquirer, the Chief Executive advised the military not to be distracted by the political noise.
“Huwag kayong nalilinlang sa mga nangyayari. Let’s stay focused. Pare-pareho tayo,” Pres. Marcos said.
Marcos also advised the military that they have the same mission and while he does it for the civilian end while the military does it for the military police end. Based on the report, he stressed that they have the same mission.
“Let’s keep that mission clear in our mind. And kung nadi-distract tayo—siyempre maraming sigaw, maraming ingay— ‘pag nadi-distract tayo at sabi papaano na ito? Madali iyan, madali ang sagot diyan: Ano ba ang mission ko? Iyon, ‘yun ang tutuparin ko,” the President said.
Despite the feud between him and the Vice President, Marcos Jr. expressed his disagreement on filing an impeachment complaint versus Vice Pres. Duterte. His statement came after a House member confirmed that an impeachment plan is on the works and is eyed to be filed this December.
