Ninoy Aquino’s Grandson Kiko Aquino Dee Reacts To Family being Dragged in Marcos-Duterte Feud
KIKO AQUINO DEE – The grandson of the late former Senator Ninoy Aquino expressed his belief that the Marcos and Duterte families are allegedly the same.
Recently, Vice President Sara Duterte has thrown several remarks and accusations against Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the Marcos family. In one of these accusations, the Vice President mentioned Ninoy Aquino, the late former Senator from the clan of the political rival of the Marcoses.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte did not hesitate to accuse the Marcos family over the death of Ninoy Aquino. According to the Vice President, the Marcoses are allegedly behind the slaying of the Aquino patriarch upon his arrival at the then-Manila International Airport on Aug. 21, 1983.
The investigation over the death of Ninoy viewed several angles. There were also countless speculations on who the real mastermind is. He was shot upon his arrival in the Philippines while he was about to leave the plane and step on Philippine grounds.
The Marcoses and the Aquinos are political rivals but the latter is seemingly silent now. Pres. Bongbong Marcos and his family also did not react to the accusation of the Vice President. The Aquino family released a statement on Duterte’s claim against the Marcoses citing their disagreement on any form of threat.
According to the family of the late former Senator Ninoy Aquino, he was probably the most pressured politician under the Marcos regime. They expressed their belief that the Marcoses should be held accountable for it and for the alleged other victims during the reign of the former Dictator.
Recently, the grandson of Ninoy Aquino, Kiko Aquino Dee, spoke on the issue. Based on a report on GMA News, he expressed his request that their family will not be mentioned amid the issues between the Dutertes and the Marcoses. He also expressed his hope that the feud will stop citing that many Filipinos are struggling now.
“Sana tigilan niyo yan para sa bayan, ‘wag kayong manggulo kasi naghihirap yung mga Pilipino. Specifically, sa pamilya ko sana ‘wag na rin banggitin yun. Kung di kayo naniniwala na mahalaga ‘yung karapatang pantao, kung hindi kayo naniniwala na mahalaga ‘yung demokrasya, at saka ‘yung Constitution natin, ‘wag na niya banggitin yung pangalan ni Lolo Ninoy,” the grandson of Ninoy said.
Based on the report, Kiko Aquino Dee also did not hesitate to express that he views the Duterte and the Marcos families the same. According to the grandson of Ninoy, these two (2) families are allegedly making it hard for the country.
“Ang turing ko sa mga Duterte, sa mga Marcos pareho sila… Ang basa ko dalawa silang nagpapahirap sa bayan,” Kiko said.
The grandson of Ninoy cited that there were several controversial deaths during the time of Marcos Sr. and former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. On Wednesday, the late former Senator supposedly turned 92. Several supporters offered flowers at his tomb in the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.
Undeniably, the Aquino family is quite silent on politics now. The updates that people await are about Kris Aquino who is currently battling health conditions.
