Kiko Pangilinan Expresses Support for Neri Naig and Chito Miranda Amid Legal Battle

Neri Naig and Chito Miranda Gain Support from Kiko Pangilinan

KIKO PANGILINAN – The former senator took to social media to express his support for Neri Naig, wife of Chito Miranda.

Pangilinan, a lawyer, voiced his support for Chito Miranda and Neri Naig, emphasizing that as a product endorser, Neri should not be held responsible for the illegal actions of a company she has no ownership or management connection with. He attested to Neri’s kindness, highlighting that she was also a victim of scammers and argued that accountability should rest with the company’s owners and operators.

He questioned the legality of the arrest warrant, noting the lack of notice given to Neri and Chito, and called for the case to be dismissed or returned to the prosecutor’s office for further investigation. Pangilinan also suggested that the arrest warrant be quashed or set aside in the meantime.

Recently, Chito Miranda publicly defended his wife, Neri Naig, following her sudden arrest over a case tied to her endorsement of a brand allegedly linked to fraudulent investment schemes. He stressed that Neri has never deceived or taken money from anyone and is widely known for her selfless generosity.

Chito criticized Neri’s arrest as unjust, pointing out that she was not given any prior notice or an opportunity to respond to the complaint due to the lack of a subpoena or formal notification. He clarified that Neri’s involvement was limited to being an endorser, with all financial matters handled by the business owner. Frustrated by her detention without bail while the real culprits remain free, Chito called for prayers and fairness in resolving the issue.

To recap, Neri Naig was arrested on November 23, 2024, at around 2:50 PM by the Southern Police District (SPD). The arrest occurred at a convention center inside a mall in Pasay City, where she was invited as the keynote speaker for the 15th PHILSME Business Expo. The arrest reportedly relates to an alleged violation of Republic Act 8799, Section 28, under the Securities Regulation Code, possibly connected to her business dealings.
