Chito Miranda Issues Statement on Legal Issue of Wife Neri Naig
CHITO MIRANDA – The husband of Neri Naig took to social media to release a statement regarding his wife’s legal case.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Chito defended his wife following her sudden arrest related to a case involving her endorsement of a brand allegedly used to solicit investments. He stressed that Neri has never scammed or taken money from anyone and is known for helping others selflessly, even when it negatively affects her.
According to Chito, Neri was unfairly arrested without prior notice or an opportunity to defend herself, as no subpoena or letter was issued to inform her of the new complaint. He clarified that Neri’s involvement was limited to being an endorser and that all funds were managed by the business owner. Chito expressed frustration over Neri’s detention without bail, while the actual perpetrators remain at large, and called for prayers and justice in resolving the matter.
Known as the “Wais na Misis,” Neri Naig, whose full name is Nerizza Garcia Naig-Miranda, recently garnered attention after reports of her arrest. Showbiz insider and talent manager Ogie Diaz revealed on his online program that a source informed him about Neri Naig’s detention.
The arrest is reportedly connected to a violation of Republic Act 8799, Section 28, under the Securities Regulation Code. The source speculated that the issue may stem from Neri’s business activities, as she manages multiple ventures. Ogie encouraged Neri or her representatives to address the allegations publicly to clarify her situation and provide accurate details about the case.
Rumors escalated when Ogie mentioned that Neri was allegedly labeled a “top most wanted person,” though the specifics of the accusations remain unclear. He emphasized the importance of Neri speaking out to shed light on the matter.
