SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President expressed her belief that she and Pres. Bongbong Marcos could not anymore patch things up.

The Filipino populace is currently witnessing a deteriorating relationship between the highest and the second highest officials in the executive department. Vice Pres. Duterte has not ceased in throwing remarks against Pres. Marcos.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte has agreed on the claim of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte linking Pres. Bongbong Marcos to drug use. The Vice President has also thrown remarks that seemingly ignited threats on the lives of the President, First Lady Liza Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Vice Pres. Duterte also claimed that the Marcoses are allegedly behind the death of Ninoy Aquino. Following the remarks of the Vice President that seemingly ignited threats on the lives of Pres. Marcos, his wife, and his cousin, several authorities reacted.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) said that they will investigate the statements of the Vice President as well as the accusations of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte against the Chief Executive. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) also issued a subpoena for the Vice President urging her to explain her remarks against Marcos Jr.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos rarely responds in length on the remarks of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. However, following her recent remarks, the Chief Executive stressed that recent statements are alarming. According to him, he will not let pass remarks of threats on his life.

The President, without directly mentioning the Vice President, said that the issue has no longer led to drama if only the legitimate questions of the Senators and the lawmakers in the House of Representatives have been answered. Having served in both the Senate and the House, the Chief Executive expressed respect on the powers vested to the lawmakers by the people.

Marcos. Jr. also stressed that the rule of law must be upheld and the Constitution must be respected. Prior to his statement, Duterte has thrown an allegation that she is being used to cover up the alleged corruption and irregularities in the government.

On her relationship with Pres. Bongbong Marcos, based on a report on GMA News, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte expressed her belief that they could no longer patch things up. According to her, they wanted her removed from her position.

“I believe we reached the point of no return and it is clear na they are really going after me. Gusto nila akong tanggalin sa position,” the Vice President said.

Based on the report, VP Sara also claimed that House Speaker Martin Romualdez is allegedly eyeing the presidency. Previously, Vice Pres. Duterte also claimed that First Lady Liza Marcos is allegedly behind the cash-filled envelopes given to DepEd officials when she was the education secretary.
