The Department of Health (DOH) had recorded 22,319 newly-reported coronavirus recoveries in the Philippines as of 4:00 p.m. today, August 30, 2020.
This, as the Department of Health gave an update on the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines.
According to its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #169 dated August 30, 2020, the Department of Health reported 4,284 newly-reported COVID-19 cases, which brought the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus disease to 217,396.
In addition, the Department of Health stated that the newly-confirmed cases on Sunday were reported based on the total tests done by 100 out of 110 current operational laboratories. Moreover, 3,779 out of 4,284 newly-reported cases occurred within the recent 14 days — from August 17 to 30.

In addition, the Department of Health reported 56,473 total active cases as stated in its COVID-19 Case Bulletin #169 dated August 30, 2020.
Moreover, the Department of Health identified the top five areas with the highest number of new coronavirus cases as of August 30 only: Metro Manila with 2,207 new cases, Laguna with 327 new cases, Cavite with 191 new cases, Batangas with 161 new cases, and Rizal with 147 new cases.
Aside from the number of confirmed cases, the Department of Health had recorded 22,319 newly-reported recoveries and 102 newly-reported fatalities. This brought the total number of recoveries to 157,403 and total coronavirus deaths to 3,520.
