Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s relationship with Pres. Bongbong Marcos has visibly turned sour as well. She has thrown several tirades against the Chief Executive which she previously accused of not knowing how to be a president.

Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also accused the Marcoses of allegedly being the ones behind the death of Ninoy Aquino. Her claim came after she accused First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos of allegedly being the one behind the cash-filled envelopes given to the officials of DepEd during her term.

Despite it, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is visibly not worried amid his daughter, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, being surrounded by issues and accusations. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, he even stressed that the Vice President will not be imprisoned.

“Kay Inday, wala ‘yun. Kaya niya ‘yun. Insignificant masyado. Kahit kasuhan nila si Inday, hindi naman makulong ‘yan,” former Pres. Duterte said.

Based on the report, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte also said that the current issue is “insignificant” and should not be taken as a reason that can spark protest against the government. He also stressed that the issue involving detained OVP chief-of-staff Attorney Zuleika Lopez is insignificant as well.

“Alam naman niyang hindi namin kaya ‘yan,” the former Chief Executive said.

OVP chief-of-staff Atty. Zuleika Lopez was detained at the House of Representatives after she was cited for contempt for a supposed “interference” during a House hearing. However, amid the detention, the OVP Chief-of-Staff was rushed to the hospital and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte accompanied her in the ambulance.
