Pres. Bongbong Marcos Asked by Press about Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s Accusation
BONGBONG MARCOS – The President refused to comment on the fiery tirades of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte against him.
The BBM-Sara tandem was greatly victorious in the 2022 Elections. However, visibly, the relationship between Marcos and Duterte has turned sour. Since the Vice President left the helm of the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Marcos cabinet, the two (2) government officials have not appeared in good terms.
Vice Pres. Duterte previously claimed that she and Pres. Marcos Jr. did not really start as friends and she will never again team up with the Marcoses. According to her, it was Senator Imee Marcos who is really her friend. According to her, she and the President only talked when they became running mates and their conversations were about the campaign and work.
Marcos Jr. claimed that he was maybe deceived as Duterte does not consider him a friend. He also expressed confusion on the decision of the Vice President to apologize to the members of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ who are led by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy for seeking their support for him in 2022.
The apology of the Vice President to the KOJC members came amid the intensified search operations of the Philippine National Police (PNP) at the KOPJ compound in Davao City to find the Pastor. He was arrested by the PNP early September and is now detained in Camp Crame.
When Pres. Bongbong Marcos left for the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summit, the Philippines was not left under the care of Vice Pres. Duterte but instead a committee appointed by the Palace. According to the Chief Executive, Duterte is no longer part of the administration and it will be “unfair” to her if she will be the caretaker of the country while the President is away.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte gave Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ governance a “one” rating on a spectrum of 1-10 with 10 as the highest. According to the Vice President, the Chief Executive allegedly does not know how to be a president.
Duterte also claimed that she told Sen. Imee Marcos that she will throw the body of Marcos Sr. into the West Philippine Sea if the alleged attacks against her will not stop. The Senator is mum on the claim of the Vice President regarding the threat she allegedly sent in their group chat.
Recently, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was asked by the press for his comment on the threat of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte to throw the body of Marcos Sr. into the West Philippine Sea. However, based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive refused to comment. According to him, he would rather not comment on it.
Marcos Jr. was also asked to comment on Duterte’s claim that he does not know how to be a president. Based on the report, the Chief Executive dismissed the question saying to talk about it next time.
“Let’s talk about that some other time,” the President said.
Following the tirades of Vice Pres. Duterte against Pres. Marcos and Marcos Sr., presidential son and Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos responded to the tirades of Duterte against the Marcoses.
