Boss Toyo or Jayson Luzadas, a rapper and entreprenuer, refused to join the 2025 Midterm Elections although there are several offers.

The Philippines is once again set for another election. In 2025, it will be a midterm election which both local and national elections are set to be held except in specific positions like the presidency and the vice presidency. On Tuesday, the Commisson on Elections (Comelec) concluded the filing of candidacy period.

The candidates in the 2025 Midterm Elections are composed of people coming from different walks of life. There are those who are returning politicians, newbies in politics, actors, actresses, and content creators. Previously, popular content creator Boss Toyo was rumored to be joining next year’s political race.

The content creator is most popular for his YouTube channel, Pinoy Pawnstars, where he buys pieces of stuff. These things include the belongings of popular individuals, those that were used by certain characters and in popular projects, and a lot more.

Boss Toyo has bought an item worth P5,000 from the live selling of Carlos Yulo’s mother, Angelica. He also bought the cooking pot of popular Pares cook Diwata.

Previously, Boss Toyo revealed that he got an offer to run as councilor in Manila in the 2025 Elections. However, the period of the filing of candidacy set by the Comelec has closed on Tuesday without the popular content creator filing his CoC,

Recently, in an chance interview with Boss Toyo at the Project X fashion show of VMX, the popular content creator revealed why he decided not to run in the 2025 Midterm Elections. Based on the report, he also got an offer to run for councilor in Quezon City as well as as party-list representative.

“Hindi ko isinasara yung pinto, pero gusto ko kasi kapag dumating yon, ready na ako,” he said.

Based on the article, the rapper-entrepreneur clarified that he has nothing against the individuals who filed their candidacy but it is evident that his fellow content creators received backlash after they filed their CoC.

“Matagal na akong may mga charity work, ten years na. Pero mas pinili ko lang munang maging pribadong tao sa pagtulong ko kasi kaya ko pa naman,” the content creator said.

The rapper-entrepreneur clarified that he is not closing his doors in entering the political arena but he refuses to do so for now. One of the celebrities who met Boss Toyo for a transaction is Niño Muhlach who sold his FAMAS trophy to the popular content creator.
