Noli de Castro Calls Alice Guo ‘Kapal ang Mukha’ On-Air

Noli de Castro Has a Furious Remark for Alice Guo On-Air

NOLI DE CASTRO – The veteran journalist and former vice president was caught showing his disapproval of suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo during a TV Patrol episode.

While delivering a news report about Guo, who was considering running for reelection, De Castro introduced the segment and, after finishing, was overheard saying “kapal ng mukha” (shameless) just before ABS-CBN journalist Zyann Ambrosio’s news story aired.

Guo was suspended due to claims of having a questionable background and possibly fake citizenship. Despite these accusations, she is still allowed to run for reelection since she hasn’t been convicted.

De Castro’s remark received strong reactions from netizens, many of whom agreed with him. One netizen said, “I may not always agree with Kabayan, but I agree with him on this.” Another commented, “Hinde na kinaya ni kabayan ang kapal ng muka mo alice!! Kapal kasi sobra.”

To recall, on September 3, Alice Guo was arrested by the Directorate General of Immigration and the Indonesian National Police in Tangerang. Two days later, she was handed over to Philippine authorities, led by Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., and deported back to the Philippines. Guo claimed she left the country due to security threats. She arrived in Metro Manila on September 6, was detained overnight at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City, and was later transferred to Capas, Tarlac, under an arrest warrant for graft charges.

Initially, Guo did not post bail and remained in PNP custody while awaiting decisions on her overlapping cases in the Senate and Capas. On September 13, her graft charges were moved to a court in Valenzuela, and the Supreme Court ordered the transfer of non-bailable trafficking cases against her and five others to the Pasig RTC.

On September 20, Guo’s arraignment for two counts of graft was rescheduled to September 30 due to a motion to quash filed by her legal team. On September 23, she was transferred to the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory after a medical examination diagnosed her with a suspected left lung infection, though she tested negative for tuberculosis.
