Boss Toyo: “Hindi porket sikat ka, eh tatakbo na”

Boss Toyo Says He Will Not Run for Any Government Post

BOSS TOYO – The social media personality known for “Pinoy Pawnstars” has announced that he will not run for any government position, despite suggestions from many to enter public service. In a Facebook post on October 1, the first day of filing certificates of candidacy, he shared his reasons for stepping back from politics.

Boss Toyo expressed that while he believes his intentions to lead are genuine and acknowledges his intelligence, he feels these qualities alone are not enough for effective governance. This explanation came after some netizens mistakenly thought he was filing his certificate of candidacy due to a document he was holding in the photo.

He also emphasized that fame does not necessarily qualify someone for leadership, saying, “Hindi porket sikat ka, eh tatakbo na. Para sa akin, hindi circus o laro o comedy bar ang pamumuno.” Boss Toyo intends to focus on personal growth and improvement so that if he decides to run in the future, he will be prepared and ready.

In a previous post on September 30, he had already explained why he was not pursuing any political position, reaffirming his commitment to enhancing his skills and knowledge before considering a future in politics. This decision reflects his thoughtful approach to leadership and public service.

Meanwhile, Boss Toyo, whose real name is Jayson Luzadas, is a prominent figure on the Filipino reality TV show “Pinoy Pawn Stars.” On the show, he serves as the main buyer and negotiates deals for items brought in by sellers. His role involves assessing and determining the value of various items that people want to pawn or sell. Some of those who have sold their memorabilia on the show include Diana Zubiri, Niño Muhlach, and Jiro Manio.
