Bong Revilla Urges Ex-PNP Chief Linked to Alice Guo Payola and Escape to Speak Up

Ex-PNP Chief Linked to Alice Guo Payola and Escape Should Come Forward, Says Bong Revilla

BONG REVILLA – The senator urged the former PNP chief allegedly involved in the payola scheme with Alice Guo and linked to the escape of a former Bamban, Tarlac mayor, to come forward and admit his involvement.

A former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief is allegedly linked to the escape of ex-Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo from the Philippines, as revealed during a Senate hearing on illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs). Pagcor’s Security Monitoring Cluster head, Raul Villanueva, mentioned that discussions within the intelligence community suggested the involvement of border immigration officials and a PNP personality. Villanueva also pointed to rumors that a former PNP chief was receiving monthly payments from Guo.

During the hearing, Senator Bato dela Rosa, a former PNP chief, cleared his name, expressing concern over potential speculation. He questioned Guo if they had ever met, to which she responded negatively. Villanueva assured that the implicated former PNP chief was not Dela Rosa.

Guo, who fled the Philippines in July amid involvement in illegal POGO operations, was arrested in Indonesia. She claimed to have escaped via a small boat, traveling through Malaysia and Singapore before her capture. Authorities are investigating her escape and possible connections with high-ranking officials.

The Senate hearing also questioned Sual, Pampanga Mayor Dong Calugay, whose staff helped notarize Guo’s counter-affidavit despite her absence from the country. The case highlights the involvement of high-profile figures in Guo’s escape and the broader implications for illegal POGO activities in the Philippines.

Meanwhile, Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. urged the former PNP Chief allegedly involved in the payola scheme with Alice Guo and linked to the escape of a former Bamban, Tarlac mayor, to come forward and admit his involvement.

He emphasized that Senator Risa Hontiveros’ committee is responsible for identifying the said ex-PNP Chief. Revilla stressed the importance of uncovering the truth and holding those responsible accountable, regardless of their status. He added that revealing the real culprit would prevent innocent former PNP Chiefs from being wrongly implicated in the issue.
