Job Opportunity Abroad Awaits Waiter in Trending Issue with Jude Bacalso
BLESSING IN DISGUISE – A job opportunity abroad awaits the waiter who was punished by Jude Bacalso to stand for two hours after addressing him as “sir.”
A certain Fredrick Cabreros Letigio took to social media to reveal that he received a message from a Filipino contact in Greece who was willing to assist the waiter in securing a job in that country. According to the Filipino contact, their employer is the CEO of hotels in Greece.
The post quickly went viral, receiving mixed reactions from netizens. In the comments, Fredrick noted, “God moves in mysterious ways!”
Currently, the waiter has not been identified, but the support and job offers from the community demonstrate public solidarity with him. In fact, following the incident, the waiter received considerable support online, with many business owners offering him jobs. Joel Torres, for example, offered the waiter a supervisory role at his barbershop or a position at his travel agency.
Torres admired the waiter’s calm and respectful behavior, saying, “Mag start na among renovation sa Master’s Barbershop.. E refer to nako si waiter sa Ullies kay murag gipotbol na daw, ako paworkon sa Barbershops or sa South Shore Travel and Tours… Choose lang asa ka nahan mo work dong!”
Meanwhile, the issue between the waiter and Jude Bacalso, an LGBT writer, began when Bacalso allegedly forced the food server to stand for two hours after addressing him as “sir.” Bacalso later issued a public apology after meeting with the restaurant’s management, a crew member, and the supervisor to address the incident where a waiter was made to stand for two hours. Although the waiter was not present, they agreed to implement more inclusive practices. Bacalso admitted he could have been more considerate in his advocacy and expressed his desire to apologize directly to the waiter.
