Direk Lauren Dyogi Has a Message for BINI Fans
LAUREN DYOGI – The head of Star Magic called for respect for the personal space and privacy of the P-pop girl group, BINI.
BINI is a Filipino girl group formed by ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy. The group consists of eight young women who were trained in singing, dancing, and performance to become well-rounded artists. BINI is part of the larger “P-Pop” (Pinoy Pop) movement in the Philippines, which aims to create a distinct Filipino pop music genre that can compete on the global stage.
The group’s name, BINI, is derived from the Filipino word “binibini,” which means young lady, reflecting their youth and vibrancy. BINI debuted in 2020 and quickly gained popularity for their catchy songs, impressive choreography, and strong vocal performances. The members of BINI are AIAH ARCETA, Colet Vergara, Maloi Ricalde, Gwen Apuli, Stacey Sevilleja, Mikha Lim, Sheena Catacutan, and Jhoanna Robles. These young artists have been making waves in the P-Pop scene with their dynamic performances and engaging music.
To recall, a video clip recently surfaced showing BINI member Aiah being “harassed” at a bar. Besides that, BINI Maloi was disturbed by some fans during a family dinner at a restaurant in Batangas.
In BINI’s Facebook post on Thursday, July 4, Direk Lauren appealed to fans to respect BINI’s personal space and privacy. “Nakikiusap po ako, personally as part of the BINI team, na sana po ‘pag ang ating mga miyembro ay nasa kanilang…spending their personal time especially with their families and friends, to please also show respect to their privacy and personal space,” said Direk Lauren.
“Tao rin po sila. Kailangan din po nilang makisalamuha sa ibang tao. At nakiusap po ako sa mga Blooms at sa mga iba pa pong supporter nila, alam ko excited kayong makita sila,” he added. “But please remember na sila po ay nanggagaling din po sa very hectic schedule these past few months and more hectic schedule.”
